@stopglobalswarming The top idler will have to be replaced before the plastic explodes. The top one is under the most stress when under power, the bottom idler is more for feeding the chain on the rear sprocket.
I'm thinking either a grooved skate wheel, or a ghost sprocket for the top, that'll hold up good.
