My girl had this surgery at 18. She slipped out of the nurses' grip on the way to the bathroom, and the fall broke her back. She had 10 more years of mobility. Chelle has FA and is now in a wheelchair. She is the love of my life.

Would be continued the other one but go up all the way. The first surgery was scary to my parents. They were told i would only be in the surgery for 6 hours but it turned out to be 9 and a half. I have have up my dance class for this. I dance ballet,modern,and jazz. To any of you who have the same problem... I'm guessing it will be worth it. I'm happy that when I recover fully from both I can go back to my dance class and be a pain-free dancer. :D

I'm 14 and on November 29th I had my surgery for my 4th vertebrae. It is similar to the example shown where the vertebrae slips off another. My vertebrates actually all slipped off and started moving downward. My surgeon had to fuse it and freeze it cause it was stressing my nerves. In June 2012 I will then get my scoliosis surgery which I'm ready. No big deal ^.^ the first surgery left me a scar from a little above my butcrack all the way up to the half of my back. i had scoliosis and im 15 and had surgery not a big deal. hurts for the first week in the hospital but thats it ^.^

@miraclebob6 No it was just scoliosis. I was 16 years old. Don't worry it's nothing to worry about it. The only thing is the pain in the first few weeks and virtual boredom in the first few months.

gettin my surgery in 2 and a half weeks. 17 years old hopefully i recover fast. havent been able to play soccer for 2 years. sucks ha
