The mysterious song from Mallrats, that is not on the soundtrack. If anyone has that V-CAST Song ID thing, and if it works on this, feel free to post the band/title. Otherwise, we'll have to wait for someone who knows. Maybe Kevin Smith himself will show up and enlighten us all.

@schythe18 I've tried everything I know of other than crowdsourcing. Which is why I uploaded this to begin with. The masses will solve it, or Kevin Smith will show up and say "lol trolled" or it'll just sit here forever.

Somebody out there has to know somebody who knows somebody who knows Kevin Smith, though, so I have no idea why this isn't solved already.

can't you find someone who has an ipod with that application where you record the song and send it to the company and they search it and send the results? it aint much but it's all i got for an idea.

@BGDD27 Nobody has posted anything about it yet, and it's gotten enough views that I figure either it's a snippet of a song made just for this movie, or it's not long enough for the music ID thing. I've tried a few different music ID apps, and had no success. Even YouTube has failed to recognize this scene with ContentID. I think it may just take a human being with a good ear and lots of musical knowledge to pin this down.

I don't think it's a real song, it just sounds like generic music made specifically for that scene. I could be wrong, though.

"knock it off!" LOL there are a lot of songs in MallRats that I love, but I don't remember the names of all of them or what the songs are actually called even.
