Rufus Tower

A present for my cat 'Rufus'. He began to resent me due to painful ear drops to fix an infection. I would return from work and he would run from me! Now the ears are better I wanted to do something to show my gratitude for his putting up with my torture. Rufus loves boxes as all cats do so this is what I made for him. The music is from my brother Ollie's band, 'Parallel Lions', I hope you don't mind me using it bro. Enjoy. (here is a link to the music parallellions.bandcamp.com)

You could walpaper the wall behind it &then wallpaper the boxes to match.

It would make it seem to "disappear" into the background.

IF you put a shelf or two near the ceiling & secured the boxes (Perhaps give the shelves a "lip" to hold boxes in place, it would look like a "cornice" & take very little floor space (only one box width so there'd be a column for your cats to climb up to the shelf...&yes, some little carpets inside would be so nice...maybe sisal so they can scratch!

What happened at about 3:35 count? I didn't see you cut holes to go from one level to the next?? Where was that done?

You're well deserving of your cat's praise &love as you obviously return the admiration.

I'd make a hole down front of one column &hang a thick corded elastic with a toy on the end. You could just knot the cord at the top & slip it in a slit to fasten it.

Then (if hole is correct size) when cat plays with it &tugs it will pop up to a different level l& the chase will begin!
