This is an imaginary reworking of the Lennon song, with samples of Ringo's drums, Paul's bass, And John, Paul, and George backing vocals.
I did this based on a magazine I found when I was a kid. It told the story of The Beatles reuniting and recording a new album. I searched in vain for this Beatles album that nobody seemed to know anything about. Since the mag was missing the cover and the first few pages, it would be years later before I would discover that it was an imaginary story, inspired by the millionaire who offered The Beatles a million dollars to reunite for a live show (which inspired the SNL skit where Loran Michaels offered George some ridiculously low amount for them to reunite on the show).

  • Umm... This was John Lennon's solo work, recorded in 1980 in retort to Bob Dylan's "Gotta Serve Somebody"-same year. But basically, this song was conceived ten years after the Beatles broke up, so... the title is wrong, and all the cool video imagery is wrong, because this song was not the Beatles at all.

  • Obviously you didn't read the description.

  • pretty cool video though i feel like being a pain in the ass and pointing out this wasn't a beatles song

  • Of course not. It's an imaginary reunion. I was too bored to finish it.

  • this is fuckin' great! I love how flat-out belligerent this song is. Like a pissed-off ol' Irishman. Giving it a full band sound helps the punkness of it all...plus style-wise is very Beatles-y. My only request is to include the reprise.

  • I wanted to do the whole song but it got to be too much of a pain in the ass. Plus, I never found an isolated Harrison part to put in. I only used stuff actually played by Beatles.

  • FACT:John Lennon Pissed on a nuns.

  • I dig this!!! Wicked modern near trip-hop beat...

  • @JulianB333 yea read the description, serve yourself for somebody else

  • @EmperorNorton2008 you forgot gOD, or of course GOD,

  • Nice. Better than I expected, definitely. My only two complaints is that it seems a little repetitive (though to be fair, so did the original demo). I would have put in a vocal-less middle-eight or a guitar solo around 1:02 if I were you. Good stuff though, definitely.

  • Nice. If only it was a little longer.

  • You should finish it. I think it is pretty cool. With the bassline and the chorus :)

  • @EmperorNorton2008 listen to all :)
