  • this is the loudest concert on record isnt it.

  • It has to be said though that Manowar did it deliberately; it was a preconceived act, whereas the Who's loudness was due entirely to their normal concert volume.

  • @itkapatanka I was at the Swansea leg of the tour , fucking awesome !

  • @oberfour1 Your comment cannot be bettered, i was lucky to see them infirst in Swansea on this tour , and have lost count since , nevr to be equalled !

  • 50 meters from stage this concert was 126 decibels, i found a site which said if it was read from the front of the stage it would have been something like 150 decibels, about 5 times as loud as a jet taking off

  • @IDontEvenKnowMyself It is indeed

  • In concert The Who kicked everyone`s ass.

Entwistle and Moon were beyond incredible.

Townsend and Daltry were best in what they did.

God always sat in the front row and worshiped The Who!

  • @evertonio

They went back. (good question, tho)

  • "The amplification for The Who concert at Charlton Athletic Football Ground, London, England, May 31, 1976, provided by Tasco PA system, had a total power of 76,000 watts from eighty 800 W Crown DC 300 A amplifiers and twenty 600 W Phase Linear 200’s. The readings at 50 m (164 ft) from the front of the sound system were 120 decibels. Exposure to such noise levels is known to cause PSH — Permanent Shift of Hearing or partial deafness."
