  • One of my favorite photographers. I once took a masterclass with Kertesz. Unbelievably I was the only one who signed up. And it was inexpensive. I told him he didn't have to conduct the class. He insisted and was amazing. Then had dinner with him and his wife Elisabeth.

  • wonderful...my photography teacher who was a student of Winogrant told em he was passing out of Kertez's house and was always looking the bell hesitating to ring it although he wanted to visit him...until he learned that he died...losing a unique opportunity to meet a master of photography who with his simplicity he taught me a lot...but his art is eternal

  • @pitsiou

It's the F minor fugue from Book 1 of the Well-tempered Clavier

  • Amazing!

  • @yvettegr Remarkable. He was very 1920-30's European, deeply sensitive from what I've seen and heard of him but what was your take on Mr. Kertesz? All I know is he was an original genius and his work expresses such sincerity. I've never seen "agony in the streets" or animosity in his work. What was Elizabeth like?

  • Andre Kertez, one of my favorite photographers whom I had the pleasure of meeting.
