@FRAGIORGIO1 I would build 3 more super carriers for total of 14 keep Enterprise in service to 2015 ewhen the Ford comes online rename the new Kennedy, Enterprise and Ford Lexington

A fine cruiser of a fine class, but not enough against so many British and allied cruisers. My father got to work on the Prinz Eugen arranging the electricity in Long Beach, California, Naval Yard in 1946, as they were preparing it for the Bikini test.

@jers59 I would mothball three or four supercarriers and save 18 to 24,000 sailors. We do not need so many active supercarriers.and against what foes? In the future, we should build WW II Essex size carriers, 900 ft, 45,000 tns. DDs are probably more useful.

whats the use, we are now talking about tolls on the jersey turnpike, we have gone from german air aces still I suppose they were german,I know! what about the Manly ferry at least its as good as U.S tolls, and on the best harbour in the world bar none.

@FRAGIORGIO1 Yes Elswick is 15 miles South not much of a place today unfortunately,only trace of the yard and engineering works that remain is BAE systems,they build armoured vehicles and Rolls Royce bearings.
