I love this song so much...i heard it this morning and could not get it outta my head....
I'm trying to get over a break up and it helped by reminding me theres "plenty of fish in the sea"....Now i just need the right bait:P

this song to me represents love and how the mermaid girl wanted somone to love her.Thats why she drained the ocean because if the fish found friends he would most likley leave her and she was saying that her love was a mechanical toy that had no moving parts because the toy itself was still a toy just not as great as it was before
