  • buy some good surplus wool pants

  • So ... all your choices are like ... "IF it is like *this*" ... or ... "IF the weather is like *that*" ... But, let's just say that it is November first and u need to survive until next Spring? ... u have to carry everything, including any fishing and trapping gear and nutritional suppliments and first-aid, etc. ... Show me what you would do for an ALL-season, LONG duration (on your back) "permanent" bugout for urban and wilderness subsistence ... all situations ... all seasons ... city, country

  • So, given the "can't go home" challenge, I am looking for critical winter clothing that I will even carry in July (yeah, in Texas) because ... Summer turns into winter and because one needs a change of clothing, if one gets soaked ... and, even in summer ... even in the Desert .. It *can* get cold enough to kill. Loadout weight is the crucial limiting factor (as u know) but, if frontiersmen were able to survive, on the trail, for months ... ? ... There must be a way to do it, with new tech.

  • I live in Texas and I have been working toward merging bushcraft with "permanent bugout" (as if I could not come back). I just finished acquiring my winter clothing (shelter starts there) and, I must say ... That UnderArmour system u have costs ~$50 per piece !! (yikes!, u came a long way from the $50 kit!) ... I finally put my UA ColdGear back on the shelf and put PolarFleece in my cart, instead, as ~$20 per piece ... also got headwear from my surplus store. Love yer sweater ... want one.

  • @Wildernesskev You will be killed by the wet no matter what you are wearing. If you are getting wet, then you are doing something wrong.

  • @wildernesswikiup14 Yes, i did relize you said that cause i put the comment b4 that point in the video.
