The speed was just fine. The swing was very stable and he liked it at that speed. He's now a very healthy, well adjusted 2 and half year old.

I have heard that these motors quit 2-3 months after purchase, have you had any issues? In the store I liked this one better b/c of the way it changes directions and it seems to recline more and more cost efficient. What are your opinions after having it for a while?

This was about 3 years ago,but anyways the seed is perfectly fine! It doesn't look like he's not happy.

good luck. the motor in my son's died out after 8 months.
