Great job on being so brave and posting this. i was abused from age 8 to 10 by an older cousin. just a quick question you dont have to answer but the pic at 0.38 is that your older cousin? again you dont have to answer but my cousin was only a couple years older so i was just wondering

I'm a guy, almost 17, and you hit the nail on the head. No one can really understand the pain of sexual abuse. For the longest time, I believed I was trash, because the abuser made me think I did everything willingly, and for longer than that, I stayed silent.

Emma, you are AWESOME! I thought I've been alone in this, but you not only prove that wrong, but you also proved it IS possible to move on! I'm not as brave as you to open up like this to even good friends - rock on!

I was abused by my older cousin and it was about a year in a half my best friend told me if i didnt tell an adult she was going to and hearing that from her showed me how much she cared then I told my school counselor and he is currently in prison for sexual abuse of a minor. My best friend gave me the confidence to speak up and anyone who is being sexually abused should come forward it makes you feel like your on top of the world when its over.

Anytime. I've actually been doing research for a movie about a group of teens (mostly girls) who escape from the clutches of a sadistic human trafficker. Tidal Wave (did you listen to it?) was part of the test soundtrack. Read the story 'The Slave Across the Street.' It's very soul touching, and it's what inspired the movie. I want to help people who have gone through what you've gone through, and a good screenplay is the best way I know how.
