  • Yes, it's real. I have a Mac Mini, used to have the OS4 Install disc, and it gets to the desktop. I could even install the OS, but I couldn't get it (the HD) to boot -- my last idea was to try yaboot (installing Ubuntu for Power PC gets you yaboot,) but later found out only the newest version of yaboot even recognizes Amiga partitions correctly. Older Yaboot has an issue where the ID code for Amiga partitions is off by one, so it won't work. Anyone out there try this with the newest Yaboot?

  • Despite this very old video I created at the very beginning I was able to create a bootable HDD including Radeon drivers to have native resolution on my TFT.

Runs fine and smoothly but it's lacking network driver support so it's not much fun using it.

  • where do i get the iso from?

  • @ice2642 There doesn't exist such a thing as "Macbook G5".

  • Hi,

What is the macmini configuration ? I plan buy one just to put the AmigaOS.

Do you know if it work too on G5 macbook ?

Need any software for install the fist time ?

    Thz

  • Doesn't need more proof, this is real and it works. Sadly it is still lacking Ethernet drivers, so you can not get online which is the most hurdle here. Hopefully somebody will pick up Ethernet drivers for this.

  • Here is the solution. First copy the directories Devs, Kickstart, L and Libs from the Moana CD to the root of your MacOS hard disk, ignore the other files in the root of the CD.

Eject the CD, go back to OF and enter devalias. This will print all devices from your Mac mini. Locate the entries hd: and cd:. Now make cd: to look like hd: with devalias cd /pci@f4000000/ata-6@d/disk0 (your Mac mini setup it may differ from mine so change appropriately). Now boot Kickstart with boot hd:\L\slb

  • can aros run on mac minis???

unlike os4 aros is open source so it has a more likely chance of someone writing a network driver for it...

  • I'll take a "not much fun" Amiga over "no Amiga" any day. So how did you get your "not much fun but then again Amiga never made networking easy" box running?

  • can this run on an ibook g4?

  • Thief *cough*
