  • @tyrionoutrider Wow, that does regurgitate a bit of deja vu. I remember Jobs talking publicly before the first Mac came out of how Apple's new computer would be under $1000 (actually, I can't remember exactly... was it under $750??). Anyhow, when the first Mac was ultimately introduced, the price tag was $2500!

Steve Jobs had a lot of amazing talents. But, looking back on it now, I guess no one ever accused him of being a math whiz. hehe

  • There is no dynamite or Forstall in this video.

There are Bud Tribble, George Crow, Susan Barnes, Dan'l Levin, and Joann Huffman- original '5' Steve stole from Mac team plus Susan Kare and Rich Page

Steve was always about affordibility and quality

  • Another interesting thing (according to the Isaacson book) is that the Next computer was priced at 6000 when it came out. In this video they are talking about 3000 as an upper limit. History might be a lot different if they could have shipped it in some form at 3000.

  • Thanks for puttin' this up. It was rather interesting. I just wish he hadn't interrupted the woman at 11:05; an interesting moment where I feel both individuals were onto something. It should be noted that he said the opposite at 2:47 "Steve Jobs interview part 2" from Japan TV.

  • Anyone know Jobs' net worth at the time he left Apple? If it wasn't in the billions, it must've at least been in the 100's of millions, right? Just seems he would've had no problem putting in another cash infusion over his initial $7M investment. I'm guessing he was just trying to keep that option off the table to avoid the pitfall of creating the wrong mindset at Next -- i.e., that they needn't worry about costs, because their deep-pocketed "white knight" was always there to save them.

  • It's funny to watch the faces of the engineers. They were all a lot smarter than Jobs, so it's sort of funny to watch them hide their incredulity. BTW I love Jobs

  • HAHA funny thing is a 10 year old can make a better logo for next with paint .. HAHA

  • LOL 5:49
