Can you imagine this new cast for Star Trek lasting 40 years? I think that would be amazing. Then the next guy would pass the torch, like Lindloff (sp?) said. I don't see Star Trek going away. :]

this was not a prequel in the conventional sense. Nero's time traveling antics basically wiped the slate clean as far the original story is concerned. There is no need to follow an old script at this point. kinda like the crew is now living in a parallel universe.

To all who love this film who say if it is bad how come it did so well. Remember Titanic(Three hours of waiting for the boat to sink.) Gone With the Wind (Three hours and a half of OH Ashley!) Citizen Cane(two and a half hours to find out Rose Bud is a damn red sled.) All bad movies all mega hits.
