I must say that, after being considerably embarrassed, Chris started to show more of her skills near the end of the match. Her slow start was understandable, after defeating the great Margaret Court with superb lobs in the semis (and since this was Chris' first Wimbledon final). Billie Jean correctly slow-balled and constructed her points well throughout. Too bad it didn't go to a third set. It would have been interesting, indeed. Chris looked very pretty too.
