I know this will make me look pretty bad, but I had an accident in afghan where I was driving along a dirt road when suddenly I felt the humvee hit a bump then there was an explosion then gunfire. I blacked out. when I woke up I was on a stretcher barely able to move. I looked down and saw charred stumps not even bandaged. When the doctor noticed me he said we hit a mine. Everyone died except the medic, and a Private I didn't know very well. The medic was in decent shape after taking turns car

@ricochet1245 I have the deepest respect for soldiers. They have made the ultimate sacrifice for us non-soldiers. I can't imagine the terror to find out your friends and colleagues have died. I apologize if the video is offensive to you. My experience in losing my hands was that I had an accident working on power lines. I blacked out on contact. Woke up on a stretcher and in four days my hands were needed to be amputated. My experience will never equal or come close to yours. My coping method w

@anthonykingatl both stumps are about 6 inches, is what I've been told but I have never measured. I do have sensation in my stumps with some tingly spots, phantom pain and a bersa. I can take a bath without hooks and eat but I usually use hooks. If you have any tips I gladly accept. Thanks for watching all of you
