    It's like when your parents give you a sheet of paper to scribble on when you're a child - how we do one doodle and ask for another sheet of paper, but they say: "No. Use the whole piece of paper, then you can have a new one." So many artists today opt for the single doodle, and leave far too much blank space. Andrew Bird has an extraordinary talent for - not only filling in that blank space - but using every blank inch for something meaningful and harmonious to the entire piece.
