This Yiddish classic is "Oi, Tate!"("Oh, Daddy!") - psychedelic, "New Age" version!!! ;o) Oy Vey...all I need to do now, is grow my beard to an UNFEASIBLE length, aquire some suitably Kosher, "New Age" psychedelic pyjama-style "clothing"...and I'm SORTED!

This Klezmer Classic was thankfully preserved, thanks to the early recording in America, WAY back in 1919, by Lt. Joseph Frankel's Klezmer Orchestra...

This amazing melody is an example of a "Khosidl" style klezmer melody - with plentiful mournful rapid trills and little "sob" effects, or "cretches", as they are called in Klezmer jargon...for all details on Klezmer dance styles, please see the following highly informative link:

To me, this makes Klezmer just as Soulful as ANY Classic Blues Music! ;o)
