I wouldn't say stole. Early blues never had any "owners" nothing was copyrighted. Each bluesman would adopt a song from earlier on, and more often than not putting in his own flavor. And that's how it was meant to be, like a good story passed on from generation to generation. Jimmy was just perpetuating the blues. Some songs have even lost their origin they had existed so long and so many have played versions of them.
