At the moment gravity is enough (some more details within my publications) but I'd have some kind of special shape of the holes planned if necessary.

Why not improve the much vaunted pedestrian-way technology that sci fi authors were always on about? High speed transit in place of rail / road lines. need to know more about the mechanism and if it can scale at all.
