  • The Battenkill is home to many small trout and many 15 inchers. 18+ inchers are one in a million and are verry wary so if you know a spot along the edge of the river or behind a rock or treebranches where you just cant get a good cast or drift without a curve or a mend of the line chances are theres a nice trout that will bolt like lightning if you get to close and wont take anything you throw at it unless its in the right place at the right time being presented in the right way.

  • iv caught bigger

  • So have I. Upstream from where Im standing I landed a 20 incher on a caddis pupa and down by the Eagleville bridge I landed a 25" on a streamer. the one in this video is 15" taken on a blue winged olive.
