I worked for Montgomery Elevator in the mid-70s. I helped build the signal panels. All these years later, I still have pride of quality production and a lot of those elevators are still in service in even the finest establishments. I had no idea that folks would ever ride and rate them as a hobby. Very cool indeed.
There is no such thing as "Fast for a traction elevator". That would be VERY fast for hydraulic. The fastest elevator in the world goes 37.6 miles per hour which is a traction.
