The 'old carriage' on the end was actually the locomotive that was pushing the entire thing along the track. Irish Rail and NIR jointly own the enterprise. So, some of Irish Rail's "201" locomotives are in enterprise colours. They're occasionally swapped around, so you can end up with an Enterprise branded loco on the Cork-Dublin train and a green loco on the end of the Enterprise! They're identical engines other than the colour scheme.
