Chicago's Lightning Storm

On Monday night, Chicago's O'hare airport was shut down due to weather. Initially it was due to heavy rains and lightning. It later progressed into a tornado warning that lasted about an hour. At the same time Cubs game at Wrigley field was interrupted and the tornado sirens were sounded, which made the news.

Luckily for me, I was at the airport and was able to capture some of the heavy rains. Oh and my flight was delayed by 5 hours due to this.

Notes on video:
- Best lightning strike is @ 21 seconds in.
- And the parts that look like camera glitches are lightning strikes off in the distance.

Not a great video of lightning. The lightning during the cubs came tonight 5/11/11 was crazy. Looked like one of those static lightning balls u buy in spencers. If someone has a video of that let me no. Just saw it on espn.

That Air Canada plane was just parked at the gate doing nothing. Wahahahaha......

I say 2 Air Canada airplanes parked at their gates. A lot of flights had to be cancelled due to the severe thunderstorm. PS: Did you hear the massive thunder boomer.
