I understand that Tyco trains company was sold to Consolidated Foods Corparation in the 70s. I would guess that's where all the food & products cars were born....

I think you need to clean your track and or wheels on your engines to get a more smooth run. Video shows your engines are in a jerking movement. Not sure if it's just the video or what.

It's an MRC decoder. I forget which model but it was cheap as new ($40) 2 years ago. I had to add an oval speaker for fit though, and that was another $10.

Does the beacon on top of the cab flash on stock GP40X models? I mean does it work this way out of the box, or did you make it work? Thanks.

Good question, I honestly don't know if it comes that way or not since I immediately installed a decoder. The beacon is wired to the AUX light function on the decoder, which was preconfigured as a flasher. So that was pretty easy at least.
I'm actually inclined to say that it probably does NOT flash as stock (without a decoder), but it may light up.
