The Graz, Austria production of Frank Wildhorn's "Dracula - das Musical", a german-language musical, now with English subtitles.

Dracula - Thomas Borchert
Mina - Lyn Liechty
Van Helsing - Uwe Kroger
Jonathan - Jesper Tyden

The English translation was masterminded by the amazing Caliypsoe, who inspired me to work on this in the first place. I provided a spit-and-polish, worked out the aggravating dialog sections, and did a few of the chorus moments. Rubbing the rust off my German...

This is a sort of "test drive". I'm at a place where errors can be easily fixed and I know there are a few of them. Send me a shout-out if you pick them up.

  • It's a shame Zu Ende was written only for this. It's a very good song, and I really would have loved to listen to Douglas Sills and, more specifically, JAMES BARBOUR sing it.

  • uweee! <3

  • @kasia1milka15 That's right, because Frank Wildhorn wrote these songs speacially for Thomas (Dracula) and Uwe (Van Helsing). They're friends, so the songs were specially made for them - and also some others.

  • kind of interesting how "Jonhatan's promise" was kept on the German soundtrack yet it's such a short song and yet "the master's song (reprise)" and "undead one, surender" are left off....a complete soundtrack of Dracula would be fantastic...

  • They´re great songs!

  • @RyColSM I don't think so, I have read somewhere that some songs like Zu ende and Roseanne were written especially for the german version. So probably no chance in finding them in english, I'm afraid...

  • Does anyone know if there is an English version. I keep finding other Dracula plays in English but not with the same songs which I love in this version

  • Thank you from subtitles! This is very interesting.
