  • Toby is floating through life on lily pad made from liberal fantasies.

History and statistics mean nothing to her, only her myopic view on how life should be.

Even if all guns on the planet could be destroyed , we would simply revert to the LAW OF THE JUNGLE, where the small and weak would be easy prey.

  • I too, am impressed with Jeff Garvas. He was obviously prepared for any question. It would be interesting to hear Jeff's remarks on the gentleman's last question. I personally believe it is missed that the 2nd amendment isn't just 4 the right of people to carry weapons on a personal self defense level but also for the level that could arise if a government's desires became so tyrannical that it's citizens, not wanting to live in fear, have rights to defend themselves on a higher level as well.

  • Old ladies should not be in decision making processes of this country, this video proves that. She danced around the important information and basically told a bedtime story to these people... I am really confused as to what the fuck her point was. Its obvious why the gun rights side won and she was sent packing, she tries to bring her emotions into her point to gain sympathy votes... I doubt she is going to get it from the great state of Ohio

  • All the questions regarding purchasing firearms are simply ridiculous. If somebody wants to buy a gun for a nefarious purpose and is prevented from doing legally they will simply purchase the firearm illegally.

  • This is the first I've seen Mr. Garvas and I'm very impressed. So glad you are on our side. Keep up the good fight my friend!

  • @lakeeriejew - how right you are.

  • Toby doesn't come off well in the interview, and defeats some of her own emotional arguments. She ultimately winds up supporting some theoretical notions about "the common good" that she can't defend against stats, and then comes across as paranoid - basically saying that she won't appear in forums where Ohio CCW holders could be armed, I've received too many letters and threats," as though they'd just gun her down. Good job Jeff at sticking with facts.

  • The debate on guns, comes down to a debate between logic and emotion and Garvas has just crushed his opponent.

BTW, I'm also 'against gun violence'. Toby needs to patrol the inner city streets and discourage criminals from committing acts of violence if that's her cause.

I'm also against fatty cheesecake but that's not going to stop the stores from selling it.

What a quack this lady is.

Of course her goal is to revoke the Second Amendment, make no mistake about it.

  • Toby is also paranoid or delusional. She is afraid that a CCW holder would have shot her at the City Club. If true, she would be dead, because a CCW holder could go to her house or office and do the same. Logically, since she is still alive, it proves that CCW holders are not a danger to her or society.

  • Toby doesn't understand her own argument. The common good refers to doing something that on balance benefits society. Concealed carry without a doubt prevents and stops crime. Lower crime benefits society. Therefore, concealed carry works for the common good.
