The poem set to music is derived from the "original" Gitanjali poem book by Rabindranath Tagore, which is not the one successfully spread since 1912, that one merely being a selection of poems taken out of various poem books by Tagore. There exists a translation of the original Gitanjali conceived by translator Joe Winter, published by Writers Workshop, Calcutta, in 1998, and Anvil Press Poetry, London, in 2000. It is the 5th poem in that particular book, "O you wo know heart's deeper power."
The title of the song is not shown in its correct contexts, regarding both in terms of the original title as well as the contexts of the movie. The original title of the poem set to music is "Ontoro Momo", in the "Mahabharata" movie it is used both as the opening piece of music as well as the track underlining the departure of the Pandava following the game of dice and the humiliation of Draupadi. The title "Humiliation of Draupadi" as used here is incorrect.
@MZLTMBCJMN They are mixed, the bengali song is a Tagore's song (who wrotte in Bengali) sung by Sharmila Roy, it was for a movie, "Mahabharata", adapted by Peter Brook. This music does not have to do with the image, as you said, a cd of Kathakali's music.
@anonjoj I do not get your point, how do you compare the Mahabharatha with the Robinson Crusoe's novel. And I do not know why at the end you say that Jesus Christ is God. I am writting in english, I can read something in french, but I do not feel ready to writte in french.
