I dunno if it was removed. I tried to do it, but my friend got impatient, lol. They probably removed it though.

no, it is still possible, however, you have to get scan an  object that is out of range, so that the screen will remain still, and then you can do the ghetto jump. PiccoloCube has a video showing it.
