  • Be advised that in different states, different people are required and there are different optional attendees. It also differs for various meetings, such as Initial and Reevaluation Evaluation Plan meetings, Annual Reviews, Initial IEP, Manifestation Determinations, and Eligibility Determinations.

  • The representive of the school district must have the authority to impliment whatever needs come up in the IEP

    The student should be involved in their IEP as young as possible.

    The meeting should be scheduled at a time that is convenient to the parent.

  • 1. A parent can call an IEP meeting.

    2. The person who is at the IEP meeting to help with language barriers is called an "interpreter" not a translator. (Interpretation is oral, translation is written )
