I went there on Saturday, and he was doing this exactly the same, right infront of the glass.
Firstly I'ed like to point out that there is nothing "poor" about it's situation. He's well fed and looked after, and this is probably a vacation for him compared to the dangers and suffering of the wild. Don't feel sorry for him. You won't see a tiger jumping up and down in joy, cos they just don't do that. The chances are he's perfectly happy.
He also has a female in his exhibit aswell.
