Ball Invasion is the first (and only) iPad application to use the NASA-invented Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technology to build real-time 3D maps of the environment as you move the iPad's camera around. This is only possible with the iPad2 dual core A5 CPU.
The objective of Ball Invasion is to shoot malicious and cunning balls hiding in the real world, visible only through your iPad2's camera. Unlike other Augmented Reality games, Ball Invasion doesn't require printed or known markers, but instead tracks the environment around you.
The game is available for download on App Store (iPad2 required)

@xantheus I have no idea what website you may have found that satisfied you, but SLAM is a big research problem being studied by hundreds of people for decades, and NASA is only one player in the field. They most certainly did not "invent" SLAM, and I don't even know what NASA-specific technology this might be using. The only computer vision work I can strongly associate with NASA is the navigation cameras in the Mars rovers, and that was just a great engineering project, not an invention.
