Apparently, according to Mandelson anyway, the sitting government has first dibs on coalition government negotiations. But it's not mandatory and any democratic, elected Prime Minister would do well to pass the oppertunity over to the Tories. They have a much larger mandate and such would quicken the pace to some kind of working government.
And we need that before the jittery stock markets open at very least.

I do not appreciate Gordon Brown making fun of the banking system when the political system is entirely flawed. The bankers can not do thier jobs propely and neither can the politicians i am afraid, i would like to see Gordon making a joke out the deep shit him and his party are in.
