Here you can see how we have to cut out patches and crests from an embroidery production using the PermabossLaser model NGL50.
There are often shapes that are difficult to cut by hand simply because of the curves and odd boundaries. Now instead of using 3 people to do this task over an 8 hour period the NGL 50 our entry level laser can do this in a matter of seconds per crest regardless of the shape.
You will notice that we use a higher power to cut through the cotton twill and then a lower power when we get to the laminated adhesive on the backside. This is done in order to prevent a larger flame, the smoke and flame from cutting the adhesive on the back would stain the crest, by simply telling our laser to cut with a different setting on the last two passes prevents this. To do this on our software is one easy step, having sold other brands of bridge lasers, we know this was a more complex procedure to program than on the NGL.
Stay tuned or subscribe to this YouTube channel as we are adding more videos all the time. We will soon show how we can cut out the patch that has a satin stitch on the outside border instead of nothing!
So in summary, its fast and far more accurate than by hand! For more information visit www.permabosslaser.com or call +1-905-713-6514
