"We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day." ~ Edith Lovejoy Pierce

What are the first couple of words in Chapter One of your book?

Mine: Carpe Diem!

How about you?

  • Like what you have to say. Inspiring

  • @benjaminzbunny Thanks so much. I appreciate your taking the time. :)

  • "Some actions have eternal value...some don't."

  • @charlesalee Mmm... interesting. Examples? :)

  • My first words are this: "Nail biting: a habit that must be stopped."

  • @DecimicCimiced Heh! Love it.

(P.S. Had that habit for many years, tried chili peppers on fingernails as well as most of the tricks. One day, I just stopped. :)

  • @juggalo56 Happy 2010 Bryan!

  • @JunmaiShu Merci for the French language lesson! Yes, kampai (Japanese = Cheers) to health! :)

  • happy new year

  • Well last night we toasted with a "Sante", which is short for the French phrase "A votre sante"... meaning "to your health". I can't think of a better word to start my book with. Without our health and that of our loved ones everything else is moot.

I wish everyone good health in this new year, and for many to come.
