This story was difficult to shoot considering the story was on not only a co-worker but a good friend. This is the 4pm story. We did 2 stories in total... I hope this helps someone. If you think about it... everyone out there knows someone who lives with or had cancer of some form.
I had lacrimal lymphoma. Canadian, Usa or Europe cancer societies had no similar case. 18 months to diagnose. Sent home repeatedly with stupid advice "lay on the other side of your face", take salt out of your diet.etc I was radiated with 3,000 rads to head. Developed faster left cataract and lost my teeth after trying to save them. Lens implant caused retina bleed left eye. Throat constricted unable to eat solid 4 years until surgery finally helped. rough 5 years.
