Circa January 11th, 2009.

Yes, I am aware of wind resistance, this is the THEORETIC top speed.

This was just for fun when I was bored and already on the dyno, just for entertainment value, nothing more.

  • Cool man! I used to have a gsr loved it! Now I have a speed3 and love it too! Last year I dynoed with stock cat and turbo mani with 2.5psi above stock boost292whp with a massive slipping clutch. Now I have act clutch & light flywheel, vibrant high flow cat and upgraded turbo mani and gonna run about 5psi boost above stock. Gonna dyno so ho[ping for 320-330whp at least :) Once u turbo no look back lol

  • Sounds like a cool car man!

Trust me, it's awfully hard for me working here... We've done some pretty serious turbocharged builds (just see my other videos), it's incredibly difficult for me not to break down and build a 600whp engine for my caR.

We'll see. I'm going to see how long I can hold out with the existing setup before I break down and spend the money, haha.

  • Sweet! yeah I want to go big turbo but everything takes money lol. im thinken if I go big turbo I may need to build motor. But some say big turbo is better for the engine cause less low end torque with big turbo means less stress on rods.

  • That's incorrect.

You may change your power band due to a larger turbine wheel/turbine housing a/r and compressor wheel (i.e. power will come online later). But unless you're going to have that larger turbocharger operating outside of its efficiency range, you basically just increased your lag time for no power benefit.

Built engine, method of precise tuning for air:fuel ratio/ignition timing correction, and a larger turbocharger on that car would be a blast!

  • Can you give dyno numbers?

  • The car did 192whp/133ftlbs on the fourth gear dyno pull directly before this video was taken.

  • The vehicle was tuned via AEM EMS at the time this video was taken.

  • How did you increase the rev range?

  • Glad you like them. : )

This is what we do all day, every day.

  • Dang you got a lot of cool vids man!

  • Yeah I prob end up building and bigger turbo eveutally, I have a buddy with with gr3076r and hes at about 400 at the wheels at 20psi he stock engine with no probs so far hes "18psiWhiteMS3" on here. I gonna see what im putting down now. I tune myself with the cp-e standback (piggy-computer) a dashawk and 3rd gear on the street. hopefully im at least 320 with stock turbo at 21-22psi. Stock turbo is k04 and I got meth injection.
