  • @ColumbiaCowboy

    idiot

  • The idea that amnesty is something that should be supported because it will help you win an election is against every principle the Bartlett Administration stood for,

It's either a good idea which if it is you should be supporting it and if it's a bad idea you should be against it.

  • I don't speak spanish. Can someone please translate the spanish parts for me? Just out of curiosity...

  • I am against amnesty for any group[ of people based on ethnicity.

That will never be accepted as it violates the constitutional requirement of equal protection before the law.

i am, sure as hell are against giving this amnesty to Mexicans.

    One

    They are on our border.

Giving them amnesty will just encourage more people to cross the border illegally.

    Two

Because of the lawlessness existing at the border alot of these "immigrants" are criminals and we don't want them here.

  • I'm kind of surprised Sam didn't take into account the number of voters they would lose by supporting something like that. Or maybe he thought that the only people who would be against that would never vote democrat anyway...

  • And, AGAIN, nobody is asking for amnesty, and the malarky that REFORM is being supported "got get votes" is a load of crap. People are OPPOSING reform to get the votes of racists, people are supporting it because it's the right thing to do.

  • i do not support amnesty, neither does my father who emigrated to the US from mexico in the 70's. Mexico does not support amnesty, nor do a majority of nations in the world.

Just another way of appeasing to get votes.

  • @PrisonerNumber9653 NOBODY supports amnesty?

Really, actually, down here on Planet Earth, a full 1/3 of the public DOES support amnesty, dear. At least they did in the last CNN/Gallup Poll of the topic last Spring.

  • This is a TV show, not reality. In fact, people support reform (NOBODY is supporting amnesty) because it's the right thing to do. The right pulls the same cheap stunt on support for helping people in need, or supporting workers, or public education. It is NOT "buying votes", it is doing the right thing.
