As a Freudian analyst, I see a lot of homoerotic behavior in this story. The two men were allegedly "hiking" or out on a romantic "picnic" when they found the "body." I think what happened was a Brokeback Mountain situation, where something homosexual happened between the two guys and they needed to explain why they kept going back to the forest by themselves. The bigfoot became a convenient distraction for lots of filthy sodomy. Don't follow the money, follow the KY trail to Whitton and Dyer.
