in this video I will lear you three tricks to caculate 12 x 13 = ?

it's verry simple!!! You could see the trick in my vidoe!
(sorry, 3 x 12 must be: 3 + 12! Sorry)

It's basically just FOIL with digits instead of terms.

(10+2)*(10+3) = 10*10+2*10+10*3+2*3 = 100+20+30+6 = 100+50+6 = 156

True and simple, although many people don't know how this works, and only do this:

(10+2)*(10+3) = 10*10 + 10*2 + 3*10 = 150.... they just forget some little parts and with using these tricks they won't.

To the skeptics: This will work even with digits greater than 4...it's merely a pictorial way to look at multiplication, as you've always done:

12 * 13 = (10 + 2) * (10 + 3)

= 10*10 + 10*3 + 2*10 + 2*3

= 100 + 5*10 + 6*1

So you would count 1 dot on the left, 5 in the middle, 6 on the right, and then write 156.
