@BlackHawkPSU I'm suprised nobody has commented to you. But if you see the beginning of the video, the pad seems to have plastic rollers that help to aggitate the sponge. after cleaning the sponge is wet and laying on those rollers, so when he pulled it out, what you saw where the indentions of the rollers. Once the pad dried the sponge would have went back to original shape. those didn't look like tears, but indentions. :)

Look closely at about 54 seconds in to the video. It sure looks like it tore the pad up in a few places. Maybe they work, maybe in this case it was not used properly.

This demonstrates how well the Pad Washer works on foam pasds and wool pads alike. This demo was done on a well used Pad Washer in South Africa.
