I wonder whether actors in the middle of their careers start presenting themselves--when they are doing widely seen interviews--sort of as the characters they would like to play in their next movie.
Kirsten sort of presents herself here as 'smart, serious, and commanding'. Maybe she's looking to do and ready and eager to do some kind of Meryl Streep work and try to leave pretending to be a teenager behind.
