is this the wreake in leicestershire? i heard that its going to be made deeper and wider soon but i dont know if thats true do you know? some great fish in the wreake brilliant memeries of fighing there

oK guys here we go...paddling on both sides is ok (even canadian) when the speed of your canoe is slow or if an additional amount of force is required to manuver. It has nothing to do with being Canadian, but it is nice that you notice. This guy needs a little "up stream" coaching though

Nice canoe, but the Algonquin style canoe was made of birh bark and not of wood (anyway birch wood rot rapidly).

Naw, learning to paddle Canadian style is a great way to teach yourself finesse and paddle control...learn to do it well and you'll be a better paddler than you ever could be switching sides...

Nice canoe but the big guy rowing looks like he has never seen a boat before... paddling both sides is not very canadian.

True. I personally favour the J-stroke, but he's fighting the flood, so he needs that little extra force.
