I am a fan of hot sauce and spicy foods. I've eaten habanero peppers before, but I came across these and they are fantastic! They are very fruity habaneros, not like others i have tried in the past. They have a very sweet taste to them almost like a sweet bell pepper, and a very pungent smell, almost a stinky smell. I loved these so much i decided to grow my first plants from the seeds.

These are my 3 habanero plants. The plant in the back doesn't have any fruit on it and I doubt it will ever get any fruit. They are approx. 18 inches tall. I know they're not very impressive. I live in NY so weather conditions are not always optimal. The first fruit in the video is a full sized pod. The others are smaller than intended. This is my first garden ever so only leave helpful comments please. I had plucked 2 fruit off the largest plant before shooting this video and they were delicious. These plants were grown from seeds, from fruit labeled "product of Mexico".

Thanks for watching, and if you have any growing tips let me know please. Next season I will be growing these orange Mexican habaneros again, and in addition some red habaneros from Belize.

  • I have my own business selling Habanero Pepper Sauce, check me out on facebook. "BeautifulBelizeanHotPepperSauce"

  • @minnelli27 Normally I remove advertisement comments, but I checked it out and everything looks so good! Thanks for watching and good luck with your business!

  • @minnelli27 Nice, but habanero sauce from yucatan is the best in the world. nice try tho

  • @StreetArtillery Haha, well I think we can all agree that habanero sauce, regardless of country of origin is the best sauce in the world.

  • Where those "ghost peppers" next to ur habeneros? And how do u know when to pick em cuz I have a habenero plant to and one is already orange but the rest r still green..advice?

  • @Raul1Silva No that was actually a weird looking tomato plant to the left of my habanero plants.

Some habanero plants make orange fruit some make red fruit (other colors too i'm sure, but red and orange most popular). These in the video were orange and ready to pick and eat. I would pluck the orange ones unless you know you have a red plant and wait for them to turn red. But if it's an orange plant grab the orange fruit and enjoy them now : )~

  • im growing habenaro magnum and cayenne peppers this year

  • @muffemod Thanks, I was curious because you'd had them more than a year. If I'm not Winters are quite harsh in New York. Did you do anything to protect your Habaneros?

  • @manselnott I grow my plants in Long Island, New York. These plants were my first ever from 2009. For 2010 I had much better success with 40+ fruit per plant. Lookup the user clonedheat, he can help you with your plants.

  • What part of the world do you grow these. I'm UK and am very greenhouse dependent. I'm impressed yours are outdoors.
