I didnt know Deborah did a jazz album till now. I love Deborah and will have to get this CD! (I love jazz vocals such as Billy Holliday, Nina Simone, Shirley Horne, Dinah W, Sarah Vaughan, dee dee bridgewater, and etc.)

I have been listening to this album non stop for like 3 weeks, she exposed me to alot of new music and she is now in my top 10 vocalists for my own list. I love this, Smoke Gets in your eyes, Look to the Rainbow, and Blue skies!!!

Wow, I'm surprised that I liked it. Ms. Cox did my favorite Dinah Washington song justice. I didn't know that Ms. Cox recorded this song.

Just as in the Dinah Washington version... it seems to carefree and happy... after hearing the mashup of dinah washington and Max Richter.... it really punches home to lyrics...

i think she did justice to Dinah Washington's songs. i'm glad DC decided to do something different that album rather than doing the traditional r&b thing.
