What a nice tribute! And so many wonderful comments here that say it all for me. Ludwig and I were both "born" the same year, and the vintage Disney shows were--and ARE--one of the best things about my life. What a shame that the Disney empire hasn't shown proper appreciation for some of the very characters that helped make its history. At least the fans are doing that. Happy 50th birthday, LVD!

I wish i could see ludwig von drake the secret of billiards. look at all these ludwig von drake fans , Disney is missing out on re-releasing these as compilations on dvd. instead they make crap like Hanna Montana which drove me off from them like the plague. Shame on you Disney for denying the children of today from such gems as these and instead filling them up with garbage... if Walt was here this wouldnt have happened.

We all need to cherish these Disney memories in our hearts because the
last connection to the Disney family, Roy Disney, (Walt's nephew) died Dec
2009. Now the "Disney Corp" is just a business. Roy Disney had kept the
"heart" of his late uncle firmly in the corporation while he lived.
We visited Disney World July 4, 2011 and folks, its already changing. They
had a dozen trams sitting unused while 3,000+ people had to wait
in the heat 90 minutes just to get to the parking lot on 3 trams.

does anyone know which cartoon had von drake testing donald duck? (he put some cap on donald duck's butt and it caused the machine to blow up) he was trying to test his mental capacity or something... after that segment, it showed donald duck in beezy bear.

@mermaidamp Yes. I do.
This really brought back some wonderful memories. QUESTION: Do you have the Wonderful World of Color mini-series done on the life of Beethoven, @ 1963?
