system("pause") doesnt work in codeblocks and I was told you can't use cin.get() if you have already used the cin command to get input somewhere in the program. What should I use instead?

@PH5221 i'm using xCode for c++ and system("pause"); isn't even recognized within it. don't think it does anything useful, anyway.
