Here's a comparison of a stock exhaust and a D&D carbon slip-on exhaust on a 2006 Suzuki GS500F. Initial rev about 3,000rpm then going to about 8,500rpm. Basically a remove-and-bolt on project. No re-jetting has been done and everything else is stock (headers, air filter, etc). The D&D carbon exhaust has been shortened to around 15". This clip was taken by a Canon Powershot SD1000.

  • That sounds awesome! And does it require a rejet?

  • @oOmpbasball194Oo

No, did not do a rejet. Didn't seem to ran leaner or richer. Same gas mileage I got when I did the can swap.... that is >350kms(>220miles) per tank.

  • What is the part number on that exhaust If you wouldn't mind.

  • Not sure what the part number is but the exhaust can came from a 1993 Honda CBR900 (fits 1992-1995 CBR900s). The mid-pipe was custom made easily from a muffler shop for cheap and painted flat black.

  • Did the mid pipe you have custom made include the OEM bracket/stopper for the center kickstand on the GS500f? Or did they make you a new bracket/stopper for the center kickstand? Approximately how much did you spend on the custom midpipe?

    Thanks!

  • Do you still have this exhaust? Are you selling it? Where are you located? Thanks!
