How did you guys notice the sound difference right away? I mean I am Thai. I grew up in Thailand and studied Thai language for so long yet I still couldn't tell the difference in the first time he sang.
it's very obvious. we roll our tongue when saying the words containing ร.เรือ, but we don't do that with the words containing ล.ลิง. According to the song, the singer should indeed roll his tongue when saying เปรียบ, but he didn't. You can easily catch his mistake without having to listen to the word carefully. It's that obvious.
You can also think of it this way. It's like saying "lock" and "rock." They are pronounced differently, yet many people mispronounce these words and get them messed up (some Japanese can't really pronounce the words containing "L." They tend to pronounce like "R" words instead)
